The Dirt Bros recall the lifestyle and belief system that defined their role in 80s and 90s BMX culture. The Swatch Impact Tour is finally demystified. An expansive early pool riding chapter brings more unseen images of Jeff Watson and the first organized skatepark contest held at the Rancho Mediterrania Skatepark in Colton in March of 1981. Wes Humpston and John Palfryman recall the mid 70s Dogtown era and riding/skating the keyhole. "Downhill Genesis” covers the talismanic early downhill BMX scene and the NBA between between 1972 and 1975, at Sylmar, Randall Ranch, Soledad Sands and Indian Dunes - with recollection from the original riders that jumped big, raced hard, and rode the ditches, pools, and flood control channels in between. Three new dedicated brand chapters focus on Vision Street Wear, Redline, and Odyssey.
These orders will need to be placed and paid for by Saturday 12th January at midnight.
My plan is to drive a quantity of the books to venues in Southern and Northern California in February / early March for some kind of launch event. More details to follow. The books can be collected from the venues or I can provide postage quotes to those who cannot physically attend to collect.
